The hallway was quiet, almost too quiet. I sat at my desk pushing pencils, shuffling papers, etc. My thoughts were drifting to various women and the various things I wanted to do to them. All this while mindlessly surfing the usual time wasting web pages, sports, weather, news, etc.
Finally, CNN.com reported that a rogue comet was rapidly approaching the Earth, and impact was imminent in twelve days. Twelve days, seven hours, nineteen minutes, and fifty-two seconds from then, the comet would land in the Atlantic Ocean, 153 kilometers west of Greenwich, England.
